Dear Friends,

Many important issues face the State of Kansas as we approach the next election.  My focus will continue to be holding the line on taxes and controlling state spending.  I am pleased that we have finally achieved the goal of a “rainy day fund” for our great state.  It will be more important than ever to foster bipartisan relationships that can work together to continue to fund our schools, transportation, and services to the elderly and disabled, especially veterans.

I have enjoyed serving the State of Kansas the last 12 years.  If re-elected, I pledge to grow business, not government.  I will continue to support free-market limited government and focus on pro-growth business principles over big government economic policies.  I will work to initiate legislation that encourages competiveness and innovation which will result in putting people back to work.  I will continue to work with fellow legislators in support of free-market healthcare.  I will support a more transparent, accountable government with priority on free enterprise and consumer choice.  I will focus on tax policies that are fair and simple, and those that encourage competitiveness.

Thank you for your continued support.  Together we can positively impact the future direction of Kansas.
